Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous as the character Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show of similar name, Erica Paget in Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. She was born in California and became interested in acting as an early child. She began working in the world of advertising, appearing in numerous commercials. Her first appearance on TV was in an NBCs It's Your Move sitcom episode from 1984. Her big screen debut came two years after in the romantic drama Pretty in Pink. Swan is famous for her voice that is blonde with a breathless hairlisp as well as a the breathless voice. But in recent times she has started to play secondary characters. Swan received an award called the Young Artist Award in 1990 for the best young actress in a thriller or mystery film for Flowers in the Attic.
