Zazie Olivia Beetz was born on January 1, 1991 in Berlin. Her father was a German Cabinet Maker who came to live into the United States following the fall of Berlin Wall. Jennifer Aniston is also a student at the same high school. Beetz went to Skidmore College to study French after completing LaGuardia. Following college, she auditioned for the role as Van at Atlanta. Beetz is a native of Berlin of two parents: a German father as well as an African American mother. They both grew up within New York. Zazie has been performing in theatres in the community and on stage in New York from the time she was a child. Zazie discovered that she liked acting when she was at the school. Zendaya's Disney Channel Breakout role Zendaya's dancing skills paid off. The year 2010 was the year that the dancer and actress finally had her first role of note and that was when Bella Thorne cast her as Rocky Blue. Zendaya began her vegetarian journey at the age of 11 after she came across a slaughterhouse during a road trip with her dad. PEOPLE says that Zendaya told, "I found it horrifying to look at all the animals being packed in there, waiting to die." I was shocked to discover that's where I'd been getting my meat!" Since then, she's stayed with a vegetarian diet.
